The Saiga 12 was developed as a semi-auto shotgun based on the AK series that appeared in the Soviet era. It was developed for the civilian market for hunting, but later versions such as the Saiga-12K with a shorter barrel was adopted for law enforcement agencies. It can be fired from the same stance as an assault rifle, and the box magazine makes it easy to reload, making it a popular shotgun in markets outside of Russia.

The second installment of the gas blowback shotgun series is the Saiga-12 SBS, which has a full auto mode! Not only is it possible to fire 3 shots simultaneously in semi/full auto, but the barrel of the Saiga-12K has been significantly cut. It is equipped with an enhanced 6-position adjustable stock. This model has been customized for CQB offering features such a removable rail for mounting various parts on the handguard, a threaded barrel and more!
